I am Cherokee/Scots-Irish heritage,member of a State recognized Native American Tribe In Alabama. James won First Place in the Musical Echoes Flute Makers Contest for 2005. James made the river cane flutes for the new movie "The New World". James has a River Cane Flute that was played on the Space Station in 2002 on display in the Smithsonian National Museum of The American Indian in Washington DC. James and Co-Author Henry Hermann have written a book called "The Art of Making River Cane & Bamboo Flutes" that is in the process of being published.
